Enjoy a special cosplay experience and a professional photo shoot at the Tobu Department Store. ・The Tobu Department Store is conveniently located with direct access from Ikebukuro Station's West Exit.
● What is a fukubukuro? ・A fukubukuro (lucky bag) is the large sack carried by Daikokuten, one of the Seven Lucky Gods in Japanese folklore. Daikokuten is known as the deity of prosperity, and his bag is believed to contain happiness and good fortune. Because of this, he is seen as a symbol of spreading joy and blessings. The tradition of selling lucky bags filled with special items at the beginning of the year has become a cherished custom in Japan, signifying a fresh start and spreading good fortune. ・This time, we’ve collaborated with the Tobu Department Store’s Tobu no Fukubukuro event to create a cosplay experience program designed to bring happiness and excitement to your New Year celebrations.

Itinerary
- Meet at the 14F Tobu Banquet Hall in the Tobu Department Store Ikebukuro (direct access from Ikebukuro Station). Doors open 15 minutes before the program starts. Please arrive on time. ・Morning session: Meet at 11:15 am (for 11:30 start) ・Afternoon session: Meet at 3:15 pm (for 3:30 pm start)
- You'll be greeted by Abracadabra Tours' English-speaking guide and Tobu Department Store staff.
- They will provide an overview of the schedule and key points for the day.
- It's time to pick your costume from over 100 options! You're sure to find one you love!
- *Approximately 100 costumes from the dedicated cosplay studio Cosset Ikebukuro have been shipped to the Tobu Department Store in advance. You can choose from the same variety of costumes typically available during a standard cosplay experience.
- *We have a range of sizes available. If you're concerned about finding the right fit, please reach out to us in advance.
- Changing will take place in gender-separated rooms. Limited private fitting rooms are also available upon request.
- Struggling with a kimono or ninja outfit? Our knowledgeable guide will be right there to help you get dressed and look your best.
- Once you’re dressed, it’s time to hit the photo spots!
- Tour exclusive locations inside the Tobu Department Store with our English-speaking guide, Tobu Department Store staff, and a professional photographer. (To ensure a smooth experience, you won’t be able to wander or take photos independently.)
- Use props like replica samurai swords and traditional flowers for unique pictures!
- These one-of-a-kind shots are only possible in this unique setting! Expect plenty of attention as you walk around—feel like a star and fully embrace your cosplay character!
- Enjoy access to special locations like the rooftop stage, usually closed to the public!

- Our photographer will guide you with simple English instructions. Don’t be shy! Go all out with your poses and expressions!
- The rooftop will also feature a traditional Japanese New Year's experience where you can try traditional games like hanetsuki, a battledore-like game, and kendama. It’s a great way to create more memories!
- Afternoon participants may also get the chance to shoot with the Tokyo night skyline as your backdrop—weather permitting, of course.

・Our guides can assist you in both English and Japanese. ・You’ll tour the Tobu Department Store’s photo spots with staff members. Free roaming in the store is not allowed. ・Wig and makeup services are not provided. ・Please complete your makeup at home or at the event venue within the allocated time. Dressing rooms are not available, and makeup application in restrooms is prohibited. The venue will provide tables and mirrors for your convenience. ・Please wear an undershirt or T-shirt to avoid direct skin contact with costumes. ・Most costumes are made from non-stretch materials and are available in JP sizes. We regularly update our sizes, so please contact us if you have any concerns about fitting. ・Children are welcome to join, but kid-sized costumes are limited. We’ll confirm sizes and measurements beforehand to ensure availability. ・The costumes shown on the tour product page may not be available on the day due to cleaning or maintenance. ・ Each participant can wear one costume. If a costume doesn't fit, you're welcome to switch to another. ・This event focuses on photo spots within the Tobu Department Store and does not include access to Cosset Ikebukuro, the dedicated cosplay studio typically offered by Abracadabra Tours. ・Photos will be professionally edited by the photographer and delivered as digital files to the email address provided at booking within approximately one week. Please double-check your email address to ensure proper delivery.

・Our guides can assist you in both English and Japanese. ・Failure to arrive at the meeting point on time will be considered a no-show, and you may be charged a cancellation fee. ・We are not liable for any accidents or injuries that occur during the program, though compensation may be provided within the limits of the participation fee if the company is found at fault. We recommend that you consider purchasing insurance if you are concerned about possible accidents or injuries. ・If you are not feeling well on the day of the program, please refrain from participating. We may also ask you not to participate if your health condition could be a concern.
